⁴⁹ “The Lord will bring a distant nation against you, swooping down upon you like an eagle; a nation whose language you don’t understand— ⁵⁰ a nation of fierce and angry men who will have no mercy upon young or old. ⁵¹ They will eat you out of house and home until your cattle and crops are gone. Your grain, new wine, olive oil, calves, and lambs will all disappear.
